Isiprofetho sikaHezekeli mayelana nesigodi samathambo omile sihlobene nomthandazo iNkosazana Yezizwe Zonke eyawunika u-Ida Peerdeman. Wonke umuntu ophinda lo mthandazo uhlanganyela esenzweni sokuprofetha—njengoMprofethi uHezekeli. Kulo mthandazo, sicela ukuthi uMoya kaJesu Kristu wehlele emhlabeni nokuthi uMoya oNgcwele uhlale ezinhliziyweni zazo zonke izizwe, uziguqule futhi uzivuse ngokomoya zisaphila.
Ukuguquka kwenhliziyo kuletha isibusiso sikaNkulunkulu, kuyilapho ukwephula isivumelwano noNkulunkulu kuletha izimpi, izinhlekelele, kanye nokuwa kwabantu. Ukungcweliswa akuyona into eyenzeka ngokushesha, kodwa inqubo: ngokuzithoba eNtandweni kaNkulunkulu nokusebenza kuye, umuntu kancane kancane ufinyelela isimo sokungcweliswa esivumelana nohlelo lukaNkulunkulu.

Isihloko sesiprofetho sikaHezekeli sihlobene nezehlakalo ezenzeka eVangelini likaKristu. Sikhuluma ngamandla kaMoya oNgcwele, uKristu aphulukisa ngawo abagulayo, ebavusela ekuphileni. Uma sifunda isiprofetho sikaHezekeli mayelana namathambo, aqhathaniswa nendlu yonke yakwa-Israyeli, abaphilayo nabafileyo, njengoba ama-Israyeli ngokwawo aziqhathanisa namathambo omile.

Hezekeli 37:11 Wathi kimi: “Ndodana yomuntu, lawa angamathambo endlu yonke yakwa-Israyeli; bheka, bathi: ‘Amathambo ethu omile, ithemba lethu liphelile, seliphelile kithi.’ 

AmaVangeli aqukethe izincazelo eziningi zabantu abalahlekelwe yithemba lokuphila okuvamile. Ukube bekungengenxa yokufika kukaKristu—owaphulukisa ngamandla kaMoya kaNkulunkulu futhi ngaleyo ndlela, ngandlela thile, wavusa kokubili ngokomoya nangokwenyama—abaningi babo ngabe bafa bephelelwe yithemba, bengenalo ithemba. Ake sihlole esinye sezenzakalo ezinjalo.
Esinye sezenzakalo ezibuhlungu sibonisa owesifazane owayehlushwa ukopha iminyaka eyishumi nambili. Wayechithe yonke ingcebo yakhe kodokotela, kodwa akekho owayengamsiza; wayengenalusizo nhlobo. Kodwa, egcwele ukholo lwangaphakathi, wasondela kuJesu ngemuva wathinta ingubo yakhe—futhi ngaleso sikhathi, waphulukiswa ngamandla avela kuKristu.
Esimweni sakhe sokuphelelwa yithemba, lona wesifazane ufana nama-Israyeli esiprofethweni sikaHezekeli, athi ngabo: “Amathambo ethu omile, ithemba lethu liphelile.” Isimo sakhe sasimangalisa kangangokuthi kwakunjengokungathi wayesethuneni esaphila, lapho uKristu amletha khona ekuphileni okusha.
Ukuphulukiswa akutholayo kuba uhlobo lokugcwaliseka kwesiprofetho esivela eNcwadini kaHezekeli, esithi uNkulunkulu uzophefumulela uMoya wakhe emathanjeni omile, awavusele ekuphileni okusha.

Nguye uKristu owayala kuye, "Vuka, thatha umbhede wakho, uhambe!"—embuyisela emandleni aphelele, futhi, njengokungathi, "evusa" amathambo akhe ekuphileni.
EmiBhalweni Engcwele, sithola nezibonelo zokuvuswa kwabantu ngomqondo ogcwele wegama, njengesenzakalo sikaLazaru, uJesu amkhipha ethuneni ngemva kwezinsuku ezine. Umzimba wakhe wawusuvele usesimweni sokubola, njengoba kubonakala emazwini kaMarta: "Nkosi, usenuka kakade."
